Great itinerary, visiting great Alaska areas. Weather in July was beautiful. We were in the pool on the first sea day! Sunny and warm. We opted for a suite, as you get expedited embarkation, disembarkation, a butler, access to Luminae, and Michael’s Club. The ship is showing signs of age, but is due for refurbishment in 2020. Common areas are clean though. Staff are (for the most part) well trained, professional and personable. Our butler, Glenn, was OUTSTANDING. My friend traveled with us and was a tad demanding (ordering drinks, coffee, desserts at will), but Glenn responded quickly and with a smile. We ate breakfast in the cabin almost every day, and he delivered it hot and ACCURATE. Also enjoyed occasional wine, cheese and fruit. Luminae had a hiccup, but Sam, the Maitre D, quickly resolved the issue. Jules was a good waiter and Lewelyn was an excellent sommelier. Food was quite good on board, especially at Murano (Ricky was an excellent waiter there). LOVED the Dawes Glacier experience on the helipad with a mimosa. Got some fabulous photos getting that close, and saw harbor seals lounging on the icebergs. Captain Tasos was funny in both his announcements and his participation in the Liars Club. Funny show!! The captain was also very gracious and VISIBLE throughout the cruise, something we appreciated, given his personality. The SkySuites (S2, Cabin 2124) are a good size and comfortable for 3. Again, the perks and nice size verandah justify the extra cost. The naturalist provided us with some great education on what we were seeing (including orcas and humpback whales, 150-200 yards from the boat!

Starting to look a tad worn, but loved having the larger veranda and more overall space.
