Sail Date: Dec 2018
Cabin: Panoramic Ocean View

This cruise was amazing! I love sailing with Royal Caribbean and this ship did not disappoint. Traveling with my family it was easy for all of us to find different things to do on the ship. The escape room was amazing and very challenging, worth the extra cost to do this! Also the ice shows were amazing! Nothing but praise to the crew and the dinning room staff as well. The food on this ship was not as good as some of the other Royal Caribbean ships, and often we found that the Pizza place in the royal promenade ran out of pizza. Other than that the entertainment was great and the live bands and artists around the ship made this cruise memorable. The cabin we did was part of the new addition on deck 12 - the panoramic ocean view. Having only done balcony cabins in the past this was a big change for me, and was worth it.

Cabin Review

Panoramic Ocean View

Cabin 1L

The cabin was part of the new addition on deck 12. The large windows in the cabin were tilted out so if you stand in the window you can look all the way down to the ocean. Being this high in the ship was a great way to look out and see more of what is around us while sailing. The cabin was newer than the others on the ship and were very well appointed. The cabin was very clean and had more space than a normal balcony cabin. The one downside to this cabin was whenever they used the bow thrusters the entire cabin would vibrate until they stopped using them. This was not an issue most of the time and actually served as a good alarm clock for arriving into port. Also nothing bad to say about the location as being on deck 12 we were very close to all the pools and the solarium.

Port Reviews

Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

Port Everglades is a great place to embark on a cruise from. Having left from here several times it's very easy. Often I would fly in the night before the cruise and stay at a hotel on Hollywood beach and use Uber to get to the port. One tip is to have the uber driver make sure they can pull up their waybill - as the security guards before you enter the port will as for that, the ticket for the cruise and your passports. After the cruise is over I recommend a taxi, and book using their app (yellow cab) as uber and lyft normally have issues getting into the port without having a rider with them.
