We have just returned from a fantastic cruise on the NCL Spirit making it reposition from New Orleans to Boston. This was my 11th cruise and 3rd with NCL. This was the first time my husband and I took a cruise longer than 7 days and it was great. The additional sea days made it very relaxing and gave an opportunity to meet other passengers and get to know the crew.

We splurged on a "Zodiac Suite" and it was worth every penny - especially the luxury bath. These suites were recognized by Cruise Critic as Best Suites and we agree. The services of the butler and the concierge were terrific and we enjoyed the VIP treatments, especially the special restaurant for breakfast and lunch and the premium seats for shows.

Staff were personable, efficient and attentive. The boat is a bit older (although recently refurbished) and a bit smaller than the newer ships. We found it just right. The decor is a bit more elegant than on some ships, with beautiful Asian styling. Read more
