We chose this cruise because of the itinerary and because friends had recommended the Aqua Class cabins and dining room.
Positives: Comfortable cabin, very well maintained by our excellent steward, Leslie.
Ports were all very good and the ship schedule also.
Aqua class dining room a pleasure with excellent service and generally good cuisine. If your entrée was unsatisfactory, you could request something else, and it was delivered promptly. Some dishes were too salty.
We enjoyed the first night's Irish dance and music performance very much.
Lido café food was varied and delicious, with superb Asian and Indian dishes.
Negatives: The muster drill was ridiculous with a cartoonish film which made light of what should be a serious subject.
With the exception of the first night's entertainment, we skipped the rest, which did not interest us (also the music was far too LOUD).
Excursions were expensive and some were excellent, but some poor.
Drink prices and wine costs very expensive. Same for Wi-Fi.
No free shuttles to ports.
Library poor with no daily newspapers and very few books.
We attended one lecture on Paris architecture and wish there had been more comparable educational offerings.
No self serve laundry. Laundry charges exorbitant.
Celebrity fares seem attractive, but they do not offer many inclusions.
Everything costs extra!
Would we cruise with Celebrity again? Probably not unless the itinerary was very attractive and the price right.
