We always sail with NCL. We enjoy their ships and services. We usually get the drink package, dinner package for free, and on our next cruise we are getting the drink package, dinner package, free WIFI (100min.) and 50$ off ever shore excursion. We are very comfortable and we know what to expect. We are also the type of people that go out on our own and walk most ports. We drove to Southampton, UK from Germany. Very easy to park and find cruise port. We like that most of the cruises we have gone on with NCL do not have a lot of young children. We are a mid 50, couple who travel together and like to party. The Spirit is NCL smallest and holdest ship. It is going in for refit in Feb 2020. They were always working on the ship to keep it well maintained in the common areas.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Forward cabin with a balcony. King size bed, very comfortable. We love to leave the door open when we are moving from port to port, while sleeping.

Port Reviews

Southampton

We spent two nights before the cruise at the Novotel Hotel, downtown by the port. Lots to area walk around and see. Lots of places to eat at.

Cobh (Cork)

Very nice port. We walked off the ship. Many of the ports had a museum about the Titanic. Very small port.

Dublin

We had been to Dublin before and saw the sights. We walked off the ship. It was 3km or so to the city center. We decided to get thai massages and eat lunch at O'Neills Pub & Kitchen. Very good food for the price. We love that place.

Belfast

Walked off the boat and around the city. Very nice small city.

Geiranger

Great hiking and viewing locations. The waterfalls are wonderful. Last year we crusied there and did the Kayak excursion. It was almost double the price on the boat, that you could get by booking it yourself.

Amsterdam

We docked in IJmuiden. We walked off the ship and went to see the WWII bunkers. There are about 10 of them. A few are in really good condition. To far to walk to trainstation to get to Amsterdam. It didn't matter to us, because we had been there several times before.

Akureyri

Walked off the ship. Beautiful city. We liked it better than Reykjavik. Very small town, we walked the city in about 30 mins. The people were very friendly

Brugge (Bruges)

It was a rainy day and we didn't get off the ship. We were tired and it was a hassel and expensive to get to the trainstation to ride an hour into Brussels.
