We chose RC Ovation of the Seas because we thought if the weather was bad in Alaska we wanted a ship with a lot of activities. We’re an active family who enjoys the outdoors & our millennial kids & other family members wanted to experience walking on a glacier and hiking in Alaska. We were able to walk on Mendenhall and Laughton Glaciers and view Endicott Arm & Dawes Glacier from our ship. It was an awe-inspiring and beautiful.

We’ve sailed on many large and small ships and Ovation of the Seas was wonderful in every way. We never had to wait in any lines and always found a table at breakfast and lunch. We had My Time Dining and never waited. The staff in the American Icon restaurant were outstanding and made our cruise memorable. The crew was the most friendly, hardworking, and funny we’ve ever had on any of our cruises. We had to laugh and wondered how the crew were always so cheery and constantly willing to help. To our surprise the Windjammer was a fun place to eat. There was a crew member who would crack jokes over the PA which made everyone laugh and all the bus people were always smiling.

I’m a clean freak and the crew were constantly cleaning everything and everywhere. There is a hand washing station before you can enter the Windjammer and you can’t bypass it. Which is great...they’ll be no illness on this ship!
