We chose this ship based on the fact that it had the ONLY embarkation point from Amsterdam.
We were on the 12 night Baltic cruise and the ports were fine it was the ship that was awful!
When we had the safety drill, the crew penciled in who was in attendance (I know that they have electronic devices that can check in).
The rooms, while quite beautiful in a 1940's way have no updated electronics. The TV's are all old and the 3 movies replay after 4 days. How many times can you watch "a dog's life?"
The food was good although there was no variety in the menu. Day after day the same foods were offered in the main dining room as well as the Windjammer Buffet.
The evening entertainment was not professional at all except for the 'special' entertainers that made a one day appearance.
The bathrooms need to be updated as well as the electronics on board.
All in all I would recommend the excursions but definitely NOT this ship!
The enrichment class was only 40 mins & I got the feeling that everyone in attendance would have loved more.
The cabin was neat and clean but the TV was awful.
Since it was mostly cold, we did not use the pool (as most of the guests) so we were all crowded into the public areas during the sea days. So we spent much of our time in our room. We had a lovely balcony but it was rainy or cold most of the time.
we went out on our own
had a wonderful experience
we walked off the ship and explored on our own.
