For our first time to Europe, this itinerary was absolutely perfect. We were able to enjoy the old cathedrals and cobblestone streets yet also see waterfalls, lava fields and ride on top of a glacier. It was a perfect mixture of natural and man made beauty.

Overall the ship was fine. We knew the Spirit was scheduled for dry dock so we didn’t expect much. She was a little worn but overall not too bad. Since the Spirit was a smaller ship, the staff was more relaxed and we had the opportunity to get to know quite a few of them.

The GM Carlos, was super friendly and I am sure his demeanor trickles down to his staff. We also had the best Concierge in the world, Monica Fortage. I wanted to bring her home with us to manage our everyday lives lol. Our cabin steward Rhandy was exceptional also. Finally, I cannot forget Marko and Rey - possibly the two best bartenders ever:)

Perfect for three of us for two weeks. Only negative and NCL did this in the Epic also, the bathroom water closet area is clear glass with partial frosted area. My husband and I were traveling with our 15 year old son so any time anyone had to do their business, the others had to close the living room door and leave that half of the cabin. The vanity, shower, bath area also did not have a door to close for privacy.

Cobh (Cork)

Went to kiss the blarney stone of course! We rode in a chartered bus. Our guide was super knowledgeable about everything Ireland. The castle is magnificent. It is not only beautiful but it is in such terrific shape that you can envision how it once was a working castle. Kissing the stone was a bit of a challenge. I am 56 years old and in relatively good shape. To kiss the stone, one must lay on their back and bend backwards while holding onto metal bars. There is a guide there to help (who rushes you a bit) but it was still a challenge. This excursion is not for those who cannot navigate a tight spiral staircase or for those who cannot do a "half" backbend.
