Review of Equinox Sailing - 10 Night Caribbean - March 19th, 2010

A brief background: my husband and I are relatively new to cruising. Individually we had both gone on 2 cruises (RC and Carnival), and this was our first cruise together. We are in our mid-30's and were celebrating a belated honeymoon. We chose Celebrity based on its reputation - we were looking for good service, above average food and a sophisticated crowd. We knew we'd be a couple of the younger folks, but that didn't bother us at all.

Boarding: We had flown down to FL a couple days earlier to visit with family. So we drove to the airport that morning to return our rental car and hopped the free shuttle (provided by the rental car companies) to the port. Our paperwork told us to arrive at 2pm, and we arrived at 2:30pm. Found out that we were in the last 150 passengers to board! There were no lines whatsoever and we walked right one. Used the rest of the afternoon to explore and unpack. The buffet was pretty picked over by this point so I decided to save my appetite for dinner.

Cabin Review

Our room was great, and we would definitely book it again. It was very far forward so there were no obstructions from the balcony. The view was gorgeous! It was also nice to be able to easily use the stairs (just one or two flights) to get down to the restaurant and bar floors.
