The ship is huge but the pools are few and small and get overcrowded. There is limited shade options when parents need to keep an eye on their bathing children. Buffet is ok, choose the 16th floor for all meals if eating this way. Do not go for early dining option in restaurant - not enough time to make it from excursion/ pool/ lunch. Portion sizes at dinner in restaurants are minute. Excursions: ok but expensive. Avoid shuttle bus to Barcelona center: costs more than taxi to site you wish to visit and takes you on a two minutes ride from the ship. No information about possibility of shade on boat excursions. I took a boat trip on my own without family to Portofino. We returned at midday, the heat was unbearable and no shade. A gentleman fainted and got a sunstroke. An ambulance was waiting upon our arrival. On ship: watch out for soot on floors and balconies. It’s everywhere! By all means take flip flops with you. If you buy all inclusive beverage and food package, remember to read the small print: drinks outside the buffet and allocated restaurant as well as ice creams come at an extra cost. No possibility of shopping on board for groceries/ pharmacy articles/ basics. Use buffet or stock up in big ports. Public spaces: sports bar was nice, so was Seaview lounge. Everywhere else very flashy but so noisy you can’t hear a word of what your companions are saying. Staying on deck would be nice were it not for the soot.

Cabin Review

Fantastica Balcony Stateroom

Cabin B2

Good sized bathroom. Toilet flushing difficult to operate. Didn’t work one day. No water one day either. Excellent service on our floor, changing towels etc but general cleanliness not good enough (old food remains stuck to bedside table, for instance).
