Our first cruise and we surely picked the right one! It was literally all smooth sailing, from embarkation, to disembarkation, and everything in between! The ship was just the right size so we were not overwhelmed. The staff were always friendly and helpful and our cabin steward was wonderful. We had an inside cabin for 3 adults but we never felt cramped as we were hardly ever in it except to sleep. The beds were extremely comfortable too! We had breakfast at the buffet and dinners at any of their fine restaurants. Food was excellent and delicious, service on point! The desserts were irresistible, with every bite better than the last! We all thoroughly enjoyed the comedian and the ventriloquist! They were so incredibly funny! The entertainment was very good with many numbers and costume changes. Glacier Bay and College Fjord were, by far, our favorite stops! Absolutely awesome! The ports of Ketchikan, Juneau, and Skagway, were all lovely. As for the shore excursions, we were very disappointed with the short time allotted for visiting Mendenhall Glacier, and recommend skipping the salmon bake and eat dinner on the ship in Juneau. Also, Tracy’s Crab shack is a ‘Must do’ while in Juneau. Of note, we didn’t use Princess for our shore excursions. We’d love to return to Alaska in the future and will definitely do it on Princess again!
