Our son and our nephew both graduated from high school this year. We wanted to get my husband's whole family together, and since several of them live out west, Seattle was a good meeting point.
Our family (we don't live out west) flew in one day before the cruise. It was a good thing because our flight was delayed. I would suggest, if you are coming from a long distance, fly in a couple of days ahead and explore Seattle. Uber rides from the airport only take 15-20 minutes to where our hotel was. We stayed in the Sheraton Four Points due to its great location. It is walking distance to the Space Needle. We got an Uber to the port and it was a very quick ride from the hotel.
We got onto the ship pretty quickly. We had a bit of a wait before checking in but were on the ship by 12:30. And, our room was ready when we got on. Things were smooth for embarking.
Nice room overall. It was a little narrower and shorter than other balconies I've stayed in. I think balconies on floor 7 are a little bigger, possibly. The balconies on this floor were somewhat narrow. There is a tub and the bathroom is pretty small. Not as much storage as some rooms I've been in, but it worked out fine. Very clean and comfortable. The pull down bed did make a lot of noise - rattling - roll up a towel and put it in between the rail things, and it stops.
Space Needle is pricey so we just sent our teenagers up, since we were there years ago. Seattle Park is beautiful. We stayed in a hotel that was walkable to the Space Needle. It was a very wise move.
It's a lovely little town. We walked along the sea walk. Spent a lot of town on the sand in the sound looking at sea creatures. The kids (several teenagers) loved it. The National Historic Park is a beautiful area, too. We enjoyed walking there.
Just walked around town, but it is really cute. Good place to shop. Lots of trails, too, if you want to find some. We did a couple of easy ones.
Victoria is beautiful. I have spent a few days there (years ago) and love it. A rather British feel. Parliament Building is quite impressive.
