We traveled with 3 other couples and two 12 year olds on our very first cruise. Factors in choosing this particular cruise: Marriage retreat seminars, itinerary (never been to Alaska), promises of smooth waters (easily seasick), and traveling with experienced cruisers. Check-in, embarkation/debarkation was a breeze.
PROS:
1. Service. Hands-down excellent service provided by the mostly Filipino crew. They were friendly, professional, and helpful at every turn. They kept everything (and everyone) sanitary with their Washy Washy sanitizer bottles.
Inside cabin for 4 on the 11th deck. The upper bunks lower from the ceiling. Room underneath the lower beds for luggage. Small closet with hangers, shelves, and safe. Small nightstand between the lower beds and a small footstool/table. Large mirror with counter space containing phone and 3 outlets. Hairdryer provided! Bedside lighting between upper and lower beds offered uplight and reading light plus 1 USB charging port! Bathroom had nice shower with shampoo & bodywash dispensers. Overall, it was a nice space and despite having 4 in this room, we found space for our things and didn't have a problem sharing the single bathroom. We did not hear any noise at all during our sleeping hours!!! I don't know if we traveled with considerate people or the soundproofing is really good. We were very happy with our little cabin!
Took the monorail to Space Needle area. Walked to Pike Place market. Visited the aquarium. All very nice but crowded.
Beautiful city. Took a taxi to the Castle, and walked around town. Dinner at Frankie's, toured the Fisherman's Wharf and saw cute houseboats.
