Booked Select with Britannia, including coach transfers from Glasgow with Inter Cruises as a family of 4, kids are 13 & 10.
Journey down was excellent, coach was comfortable but could have done with wifi.
Had email to say we would be delayed getting on the ship so expected to be delayed but fortunately our coach driver just carried on and arrived at port on time and we got on ship just about 2 hours later than we should have, so were very happy.
Cabin was absolutely fine, pullman beds were actually really comfortable and Fredy did a great job getting the cabin ready in morning and evening. I think it could be really hot if you were in a hot weather cruise.
We did not spend any time in Southampton
Did it on our own, got bus to Grennan, took tractor ride on the beach, and then had nice lunch in town, really liked the atmosphere.
Quite spread out so took a bit of time to get around on foot. Disappointing that the vintage tram only runs on Friday & Saturday so missed out on that but otherwise a nice city. Took the red sightseeing boat tour which was great.
Old town was great but if you value your back, avoid the land train, KGB museum at hotel Viru was brilliant.
Took hop on hop off bus which was good but took a long time to get around and the bus only goes one way round the circle so takes a lot of time to get to places or plan things in order. Viking museum was great, afternoon turned out to be very wet
Tivoli gardens was incredible, kids loved the rides, if you plan to go on more than 2 or 3 rides then buy the unlimited ride band, gardens are beautiful, and the rest of the town centre has a lovely vibrant feel
