We choose this cruise to see as much of Alaska on our vacation week as possible. This northbound cruise was in each port the longest amount of time that gave us a relaxed vacation.
Our daughter took this cruise in 2017 & with all her travel experience we didn't shop around for any other cruiseline.
We were pleased with our tenth deck cabin. The balcony allowed us to lounge comfortably inside. All the staff were friendly & attentive. Getting on & off the ship was easy. The only con was the ship in each port was the furthest from town. But there was transportation waiting & it was usually free.
Mostly we ate breakfast at the buffet & we tried all the complimentary restaurants. The food was most disappointing
There was no fresh Alaskan seafood and no pastry chef. My cherry pie was just gelatin with 1 cherry. Our two free options were the adult drink & wifi packages
All bars were great the wifi is not recommendrd.
The staff made every attempt to keep all well "wishy" washing at every restaurant entrance.
Learned that you must get on a smaller boat to see wild life. Next trip to Alaska will be a road trip.
Highly recommend a balcony
Great dog sledding fun on the glacier
Great train ride just a little too long without any snack options
