Love the Radiance Class for this 7 night Baltic Cruise, 2100 people, easy to find everything.

Picked Deck 3 oceanview and for port days just walked one deck down, very handy.

Food was just fine. We celebrated a major birthday and enjoyed Chops one night and Giovanni's another night.

Cabin Review

Ocean View

Cabin 3N

Oceanview room 3608

large window, some slight distoration when viewing outside.

bed excellent, room has some dated furniture, but all functional.

TV could be upgraded, but need to wait for next drydock likely.

lots of storage space. we travel light, so no problem

always recommend to take lots of strong magnets to hold up stuff. Walls are all steel.

clothpins also useful to take along with your own alarm clock or use smartphone.

lots of towels when required, ice available.

mini frig also available.

no shampoo/conditioner bottles, just dispenser (better for environment anyways)

Port Reviews

Copenhagen

Copenhagen

Suggest one arrives early or stay after cruise in Copenhagen.

Lots to see and do. easy to walk city, you can also do hop on hop off.

Easy to take Metro from airport into Central, but need to drag bags a bit, depending on where you stayed. We stayed at AC hotel Bella Sky, very modern, close to Metro, near airport. Tivoli gardens a must visit, don't need to go on rides, can buy just entrance ticket. Carlsberg brewery has free tour, but was closed for construction. we walked around to various gardens. several Palaces close by. Rosenborg, Amalienborg and Chrisianborg. Little Mermaid, too touristy. harbour tour is highly recommended. Walk up the round tower for sure. Easy ramps. Stroget is Europe's longest pedestrian shopping street. Very interesting, lots of high end shops, plus LEGO store. We took the bus/train into central station, another nice way to arrive

had lunch by Nyhavn, people watch and boats very interesting

Stockholm

Stockholm

Hop on off bus available at port.

Make sure you wake up early or watch sailout, spectacular scenery, while entering harbour through 32,000 islands.

We had 6 ships in port, so very busy.

Walked into town from ship and hop on back. Vasa Museum, restored battle ship in museum is amazing and a must, nice gardens around. ABBA museum very close by. Harbour tour recommended, one hour, nice to go around water.

Walked in main square, can enter some museums, palaces, but we did not have lots of time Very busy in summer time

Tallinn

Tallinn, Estonia

Nice older city, medieval walls. DId hop on hop off red bus. walked around. Stopped at Toompea Castle, Alex Nevski cathedral, drove up along water to where Olympic events took place. Viru gates

St. Petersburg

St. Petersburg, Russia

We did private tour with Alla tours, would recommend them.

only had 12 hours in port, so limited to what can be done.

Ship tours leave at 7 am, and private tours need to wait 90 minutes.

Would recommend this company, small Benz vehicle with 15 passengers, compared to 50 on ship tours. Had free wifi on board and fast! Even took one stop Metro ride, great Russian lunch at Dostoyevsky's, Borscht, Chicken Kiev. Hermitage, Winter Palace is incredible, but only 2 hours there, but saw some major art. museums have 2.8 million pieces, apparently 8 miles if you walked to every gallery. It would take 9 years to see everything if you just glanced at a piece. So it is big and very busy. if you enter after 10:30 am, public can enter, so get in early with group is a must. Did not see Gold room or Faberge egg collection, but others did another trip and enjoyed it. One hour to/from drive to Peterhof Palace and Gardens is worth it. Gold covered amazing fountains fed by gravity and no pumps. No time to enter palace, gardens are very nice.

Did some local shopping.

CIty has 5.2 million people and is very busy, congested, traffic jams everywhere.

Lots of shopping areas.

Putin was in town for economic meetings so traffic was rerouted a number of places.

We saw Church on spilled blood, Onion domes, very beautiful mosaics. Saw some nice boat tours, but we had no time to see them, would recommend this

Helsinki

Helsinki, Finland

hop on off bus available again. we walked in town, quite hilly, but very scenic.

took taxi back to ship, after getting disoriented a bit, but did 20,000 steps!

Helsinki cathedral downtown and senate square is real nice/. Saw Russian Orthodox onion dome church. harbour recommended, very busy so we did not take it,

market was on downtown, so busy, nice city.
