We docked out of Fort Lauderdale, Fl. and we had two days there before our ship sailed. While in Ft. Lauderdale I’d recommend eating at the Funky Buddha! Fun atmosphere, great food, and flights which allow you to sample the beers. We also went to the Everglades. It was exhilarating! Our captain was lively and fun! He honestly made the experience what it was-enjoyable while simultaneously providing us with the history and information of the Everglades in a hang-on-to-every-word way!

Now the important part -the cruise! Wow! Wow! Wow! This was my first cruise so I did a little research and I knew that bags wouldn’t be delivered to our rooms right away so I had everything I needed in my carry-on (This is important to ensure a comfortable first few hours). The room was a good size and we had a balcony that overlooked Central Park which was awesome! Central Park- what a beautifully crafty area to the ship. If ever you’re missing that outside world (not likely because of the port stops) go to Central Park. The view is captivating and you get your nature fix. There were tons of pools and although sometimes finding a chair (or two) by one was somewhat challenging (it’s the place to be!) the setup was convenient. The food was great! We went to our reservations at American Icon Grill the first two nights but favored the Windjammer, buffet style, and that it ultimately were we ended up eating the remaining 5 days. We visited St. Marteen, San Juan, and Labadee. My biggest disappointment was that we were only in San Juan for 6 hours. Not nearly enough time to explore. Labadee was my favorite stop! Relaxing and beautiful! Though, if you plan on shopping- BEWARE! The Haitians will bombard you. I initially wanted to support them and though I did buy some stuff from the small shops, I wanted to get out of there as quick as possible which is unfortunate because I would have shopped more. Unfortunately I did not do any excursions on the ports. Last but definitely not least. The entertainment! I cannot speak more highly of this part! Second to none! Incredible! Sensational! And, well, ENTERTAINING! The aqua show: so nice I saw it twice. No really. I had to go see it a second time. You don’t want to look away. The game shows: fun! You’ll get your laughs in! Contests: belly contest, wakeboard contest, dive contest, etc. GO! The ice show- A MUST SEE! Not only is it fun, entertaining, and well choreographed but it was touching and I found myself holding back tears at one point. Honestly, the entertainment on the ship was my favorite part of the cruise and the next cruise I go on (because there will certainly be a next and a next after that and so on) I will hit up every entertainment opportunity.

Cannot speak for kids on the cruise because this was a trip just for my fiancé and I but I will say that I can’t wait to bring my kids w us the next time we go! I know they’d have an experience of a lifetime. Highly recommend this cruise line!
