We booked this cruise at the last minute and didn't have a lot of high expectations but we were pleasantly surprised by this cruise and the ship. The ship is definitely smaller however it was more than adequate for what we needed. We are a middle aged professional couple and we found the activities and the pace on this ship to be pretty good.

The embarkation was fairly smooth. Fort Lauderdale isn't the nicest port to leave from but getting on board was very efficient and the port staff were super friendly. The first day dining at the WindJammer Cafe was a total mess as there was a huge line up to get in and a lot of people didn't get fed. Not sure how Royal Caribbean could mess this one up. Other than this initial faux pas the dining for the rest of the cruise went well. We had set dining for 8pm and the food and dining room staff were fantastic every night.

There are limited choices for bars on the ship and Boleros was closed for a private function one night which was discouraging. Not sure what they were thinking on this one. There were not too many children on the ship but the ones that we did see were generally well behaved. There were only a few pools and hot tubs on the ship so we took advantage during port days.

Cabin Review

Ocean View

Cabin 2N

We only had an Oceanview room - we are used to having a balcony but we found this room to be surprisingly functional and it met our needs. Not sure we would want to stay in this room for a 7 day cruise but for 5 days it was fine. Our room porter was great. He was very efficient and super friendly.

The cabin was a bit noisy on the final night - we figured that they were loading the luggage just below us. Other than that it was fairly quiet. It was very close to the disembarkation door on floor 1 and we rarely needed to use the elevator as the Centrum was only a couple of floors up and close.

Port Reviews

Cozumel

This is not a bad stop. It is hard to get out of the port shops as it is a maze. The actual town of Cozumel is a $10 cab ride from the port. It is nothing special other than seeing some Iguanas. We found all of the vendors in Cozumel to be super aggressive and it simply wore us down after a while
