The ship is relatively new and it seemed like a good choice. I've only been on one other cruise (3 days from Miami to the Bahamas and back) and was not very impressed. In fact I swore I would never go on another cruise. When we started talking about this trip I was a little skeptical. Boy was I wrong! We were a group of 25 and had a blast! My family of four had a cabin with a balcony. It was a lot roomier than I expected. A little tight if all four of us were trying to get ready at once so we did it in shifts. The ship was beautiful inside and out. There are plenty places to eat or drink. Our favorites were "The Local" & "MIXX". Merwin the magician & Rudy were great at the local & Willy, Willy at mixx was a blast! We mostly ate at the local or the garden buffet on the top deck. We found that if you want to eat at any of the specialty restaurants make your reservations before boarding. We don't like being on a schedule so we didn't opt for that. The staff/crew were always available and very nice the whole time. They all seem to enjoy their jobs which is rare these days. Another highlight of the trip was the band Siglo on the ship. A very talented group of musicians! We followed them all around the ship to catch them play every chance we got! We did two shore excursions - whale watching in Juneau and a bus tour in Skagway. We saw Orcas and a Humpback whale and the bus tour was nice with fantastic scenery. We booked these on our own - not through Norwegian. Cruising through Glacier Bay was also an incredible experience. All in all it was a great trip and I would definitely do it again!
