We went on the Dawn last Summer and everything about it was perfect so we decided to do it again. Booked the Gem because we like to leave out of Boston. We booked 11 months in advance and decided to do a mini suite . We stayed in one last year and loved the extra room!
Not the case on the Gem! We only saw our room steward in hall 3 times. Customer service rep Manuela de Olivera was incredibly rude and combative!!
Good customer service is non existent! Never again! Our suite had some kind of bump out that took up additional space in our room.

We couldnt walk by our bed to get into room without going sideways! We also couldn’t stand in front of closet and open doors!

Was more spacious ! When we asked the desk why it was considered a mini suite the rep Manuela De Olivera, became very combative and rude! She said “You are not getting an upgrade!” We told her we didn’t want to move just wanted it noted that cabin 11016 should not be considered a mini suite! She said it was our fault WE didn’t do our homework! She also kept arguing that all mini suites are the same size. (We later found out that our suite was less square footage than typical mini suites.) The customer service rep Manuela kept saying we were wrong so I asked for a manager. He came out and said all mini suites the same. I asked to please come look at it with me. When he got to our room he said you are right this is smaller, also said many others complained about this suite before.
