My wife and I sail every 4th of July week due to employment. We choose to embark in New York as it is an easy 4 hour ride to port from North of Boston. Embarkation in New York is busy but very well organized. We arrived at 10:30 and were having our first drink at 11:35. As Platinum members we enjoy several perks with NCL.

First and foremost on a ship this size is the crew. SECOND TO NONE!!!! The customer service we receive on the Escape is a step above what we expect. Every crew member we interacted with asked how things are going?, and can I do anything for you?. From Mary Jane at Starbucks in the Morning to Arif our room steward in the evening. Every single day, we interacted with Officers on this ship. They circulate around to make sure everything is going well. If you have a reasonable problem on this ship and speak with someone, it will be taken care off.

We were in a Spa Mini Suite. The Mini Suite is a nice size for two and the bathroom is a really good size. Hot water and pressure are excellent.
