This was hands down the worst cruise I’ve ever been on. The food was terrible, especially in the main dining room and service was very slow. We went to the at sea brunch one day and sat there for over 30 minutes before anyone even brought water to our table. I got food poisoning from dinner at the main dining room and was out for a whole day because of it. The only highlight in the food department is the Guys Burger Joint. The drink department was very good. The bartenders were always very nice and the drinks were made with name brand liquor. The Alchemy Bar was incredible and we would go there every night. My only complaint about the drinks is that after every order you get a $0.00 (unless your in the Mississippi River where you have to pay extra tax) receipt that you have to sign even if you have the drink package. I am a very good tipper and don’t mind tipping at all, but I felt like having to sign was basically like begging for extra tips. The entertainment on the ship was a joke. We walked out of a show because it was so bad. The casino was a huge letdown. The port of Progresso was the sketchiest port I’ve ever been to. I’m honestly surprised Carnival would take the liability of dropping off passengers there. Overall, pick literally any other cruise to go on. Going into the cruise, I knew it was Carnvial so my expectations weren’t high, but they managed to not even meet my very low expectations.
