Cabin: Aft-Facing Mini-Suite with Balcony
We had sailed on the Jade in the Med before, but totally different ports, excepting Malta. But we loved Malta so this was a good fit for us. Embarkation was painless. The sailaway through Venice was amazing. We had an aft cabin so had a perfect view. Our cabin steward, Gede, was attentive and took care of our requests promptly. We took all of our shore excursions from NCL, and with a few changes being made in our itinerary I am glad we did.
We had the drink package as well as a 4 meal package for the specialty restaurants. We dined in Cagney's, the Teppanyaki restaurant, and La Cucina twice. Several lunches were in O'Sheehan's, and one dinner in Jasmine Garden. One dinner in the Grand Pacific and the remainder of dinners were in Alizar. Breakfasts were in the Great Outdoors daily.
I used the spa for a massage/facial special one day--so wonderful! And we made use of both laundry specials, as we had travelled for 4 nights pre-cruise and 4 nights post-cruise.

Aft-Facing Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin was spacious enough, storage space was great! Aft balconies are our favorite. Yes, being on deck 11 meant we had a little noise early mornings when the Great Outdoors was being opened, but we took turns being awoken from it. Our cabin was clean and had been well maintained. Love being at the end of a hallway since we get very little traffic going by our cabin.
Port Reviews
Venice
We arrived 2 days pre-cruise. Through Viator we booked a serenaded gondola trip one night and a ghost tour the nest. Both were fun. Stayed at the Hotel Flora which was centrally located. Getting to the port was a breeze. We simply went to the San Marco boat stop and bought one way tickets and were dropped off right at the pier. Couldn't have been easier.
Argostoli (Kefalonia)
We just walked into town here and relaxed. Made a few stops for drinks and snacks, while doing some shopping on the pedestrian shopping street. Saw some lovely churches as well.
Mykonos
We just wandered the streets and alleyways through town. Got to the windmills and Little Venice. Shopped and ate and drank local wine. Then made our way back to the ship very easily.
