Chose this cruise based primarily on the Itinerary and a very reasonable fare. Our experiences with the cruise were very good but based on how Norwegian corporate treats it’s staff and guests I will likely not be booking another cruise with them.
First the Positives:
Beautiful Ship – older but beautiful ship that is well maintained. You can tell that the staff took great pride in the star and it showed in the general upkeep of this medium sized vessel.
Comfy, but the walls between rooms were a little thin. If your neighbors are party-animals, it can be quite problematic.
Went to Pisa which was beautiful. Unfortunately it was also a bit too touristy as the crowds around the tower area were enormous.
Rome was stunning but the overall experience was badly affected by cool, wet weather which limited the sight-seeing. Still, the Eternal City iwas enchanting and beautiful even in very bad weather.
Beautiful island. Every bit as scenic a location as you'll get. The view of the port from Fira is simply jaw-dropping.
Nice island but a little too crowded an overpriced.
Beautiful, historic city surrounded by tall mountains. The Bay with the medieval forts in the backdrop are worthy of a A list film. Of course, this beautiful nation is probably better off left undiscovered as many in Dubrovnik can testify to.
This city in the southern Dalmatia should have been a highlight, but turned out to be a letdown. The city since the beginning of screening GoT has become a tourist trap, with most tours and businesses catering to fans of the show. Few show any interest in the real culture or history of this rich region. The city, although beautiful is flooded with cruise tourists throughout the day, making getting around very difficult. Because of this, many locals are quite annoyed and rude to tourists and to be honest, I don't blame them.
