My husband & I and my cousin & her husband just got back from 10 nights on the Equinox. I cannot say enough about how great this ship is. It's absolutely beautiful. The pictures in the brochures & online do not do it justice. Embarkation does not start until 1 PM so if you have elite status and priority boarding no sense in getting there any earlier. We two couples had adjacent sky suites and our cabin steward was kind enough to slide back the glass partition so our decks were somewhat connected and that worked out really well. The cabins themselves were beautifully decorated and very spacious. The interactive TV is quite impressive and you can access everything from it even the internet; there is an accompanying keypad. The pictures you pose for are accessible right there and even the ones you don't give your seapass cards for (ex. getting off the ship in a port) are visible via their facial recognition software. Very impressive.

We signed up for Celebrity Select dining for the same time each night and it was just right for us. We were seated at the same table every night with the same wait staff. Wherever we ate the food was very very good; main entrees, appetizers, salads, desserts, everything was great. We did dine in the Oceanview Cafe the first night and it was very confusing and somewhat frustrating. We couldn't get our own flatware, dishes or anything and there just was not enough crew to accommodate everyone's needs. The same was true the next day so we decided not to go there again. In the meantime they passed out comment cards and we indicated how unorganized it was in the casual dining area and it was addressed almost immediately. We were then able to get our own dishes, flatware, etc. Dining in the Tuscan Grille was overall a favorable experience; the food was excellent; best fillet mignon; but the music was rather loud and we all had difficulty understanding our waiter The entertainment was very good and we all agreed the Celebrity singers and dancers were the best we had ever seen on any of our 15+ cruises! The shows were good enough to be on Broadway; unbelievable talent & energy!!! There were also many and varied musical venues on the ship in one of the many public area or lounges and they were all excellent. We favored Caribbean Treasures which played poolside each day and in the Sky Lounge several times and the nightclub Quasar with its' DJ who featured tunes trivia--each night a little different but from the 60's to the 80's.

The Lawn Club is impressive also and I did take advantage of the croquet court. Very nice diversion from the usual on-board stuff. I have to say that with the five ports five days in a row there just was not enough time to take advantage of all the activities this cruise offered. She is now repositioning to the Mediterranean so this itinerary is not available on the Equinox probably until next fall.
