In the past cruising wasn't as popular as it is today, therefore the cruise lines don't have to try as hard to please you. Plus the passengers aren't as thoughtful and courtesy as years ago. This unfortunately how the world is today. Our cruise showed all the signs. Crew members lying to us about why the ship was 11 hours late to sail. Bartenders would ignore you. Food was reused for days, and passengers were noisey and thoughtless to other passengers. The ports were really fun, but you don't have to spend all kinds of money to see things, adventure out on your own. This is more fun and alot less expensive. When deciding on your room be aware of your surroundings and book from there. I feel that now cruising is more popular the staff don't have to put there best foot forward to please you. Tracy Arm was wonderful and so glad we could sail down it to see it. Glaciers are also beautiful to see.
Our room was nice and we were able to enjoy the balcony this time because Alaska was warmer than usual. There is only one chair in the room, so if you don't sit there you have the bed to lay down on. Our neighbors were VERY loud and kids would run up and down the halls. These things could have been better.
