To be clear, we chose Norwegian because of the port stops and because the timing of this cruise allowed us to take it with another family. Overall, we had a great time with our friends, liked the port stops (except Russia), but the Norwegian part of the experience was disappointing. In the past, we have cruised with Disney (2), Princess (1), and Carnival (1).

1. The ports and excursions were generally good, but expensive.

Port Reviews

Copenhagen

Copenhagen was an awesome city to visit. We did a segway tour and explored the old town and nyhavn which were great

Rostock (Warnemunde)

We took a train into Berlin. Berlin is a great city to visit but a 3-hour train ride each way combined with 95 degree temperatures, made the visit difficult.

St. Petersburg

Be aware - if you did not book an excursion with the Cruise Line, you could not visit St. Pete without a special Visa.

Stockholm

We visited the Vasa Museum and also the old town on our own. These were very good stops and we had a great time, despite the rain
