Price at booking was inflated, service was lackluster and the cruise facilities were average but a bit dated. Every little thing was an additional fee. Steak at dinner? $30 extra. Fitness classes? $12-$20 extra. Internet? $60 extra per person. A nicer glass of wine, even though we already had the all-inclusive drink package? Extra! We gladly paid more for the items that were worth it to us, but the over monetization of absolutely everything, was so off-putting that we will likely never cruise with Princess again.
Of the entertainment options that were included, the staff did an incredible job. The guest speakers were great, magician was fantastic. Comedian was okay.
You will incur a $14.50 expense every day for the auto gratuity that they supposedly give to the staff. This auto gratuity actually decreases the incentive for the staff to be engaging or to provide excellent service since it is already billed to each guest daily.
