  3. Caribbean Princess
We are experienced cruisers, particularly on Princess as this was our 47th Princess cruise. We've been on the Caribbean Princess a number of times and thoroughly enjoyed each one. The ship is well maintained, the crew very friendly and helpful, the food high quality. We were really pleased that a carving station was available in the buffet for lunch every day. When the ship came out of drydock several years ago, there wasn't any carving station at the buffet. That's a big plus for those (like my wife) that are allergic to gluten and dairy. The chef's and headwaiters really go all out in the dining rooms to provide great food for those with different food allergies. Especially the desserts! Since one of our neighbors told us they had a super great time on a cruise with a cabin facing aft, we decided to try it. The noise and vibrations were minor and really not bothersome. It was nice to stand on the balcony and watch the ship's wake. But we missed the views when approaching and when in port, so our experiment will not be repeated. We look forward to the production shows and other entertainment in the theater. We've seen each of the production shows several time but still love to go see them. They never become stale. One of our favorites is Bravo....I'd watch it more than once on a cruise if were available. We were VERY disappointed on the 6th and 7th evenings. The sixth evening we were in Cozumel (10 am-10pm)...with the evening show being one Mexican Folkloric Show. The seventh evening was the final of The Voice of the Ocean. Both evenings ..amateurs putting on a show in the theater...and not even close to being entertaining. We do not pay thousands of dollars to see amateurs at one or two nights of "prime" entertainment. We've been on other cruises where the Voice of the Ocean Final was late afternoon on the last sea day. That's fine, but to have it as the main entertainment for the evening? No Thanks. Our second disappointment had to do with the shops and casino while in Cozumel On a previous cruise with 10am to 10pm, the shops and casino opened at either 6 or 7. Not on this cruise. The other activities available til we sailed were minimal. We have already booked another 3 Princess Cruises and hope that we don't have any amateur nights.

Some disappointments
