This was our 54th cruise, various lines, and I was sceptical about the Grand Princess after reading some of the reviews. However, we were pleasantly surprised and pleased overall with food, service and friendly atmosphere. The ship is a little tired but maintenance and cleanliness is ongoing. Excursions were excellent and tour guides well versed in history and culture. In Juneau we especially loved the Salmon bake and visiting Mendenhall Glacier. The time in Sitka was enjoyable as we had never been ther on our past 4 Alaskan cruises...usually Ketchikan is on the itinerary, not Sitka. The cultural center is a short 20 minute walk and the scenery along the harbor is stunning. When in Victoria, our time in Beuchart Gardens was short, but well worth the trip. Our 3rd time to the Gardens and it never gets old. Absolutely gorgeous display of every flower imaginable.
Will not hesitate to sail the Grand again.
Spectacular day in Glacier Bay.
