We hardly slept due to our cabin being very close to major building works on board. Power tools were being used all night, every night. We had to move cabins 3 times until we got some sleep. “Jose” the guest relations manager told us that the work could not be done in port because of the loudness and the fire risk! So it had to be done whilst at sea. I expressed that it was obvious that passengers were not a priority and the work should not be undertaken if it affected passengers. I was so tired that I was unfit to go on any excursions. Other members of our group of 8 also experienced the noise of building works. This was a ruined holiday and we were offered only 200 dollars to spend on board- an insult after a ruined holiday. We are booked on the Norwegian jade next January, but as the works are being carried out across the fleet, I will probably be cancelling the trip. Other areas of the cruise were very good. Food and service was excellent, the entertainment magnificent and the choice of bars and restaurants was fantastic. The ship stopped at great ports and the excursions offered plenty of choice. The cabins have plenty of storage and the beds are very comfortable. Our steward was fantastic and the cabin was spotless.
Not a great design due to no separate bathroom, but the rest was adequate and plenty of storage. The beds were very comfortable and the cabin clean and well looked after. Our various stewards were all very good.
