OK, here goes. The excursions saved this cruise from be horrific and, at that, they only increased my rating to Poor. Embarkation was fine, no real hassles. Disembarkation was a fiasco. From trying to identify your luggage out of hundreds of bags to trying to funnel out of the building thru on small doorway, it was poorly organized.....The staterooms/cabins, our was a port side forward balcony cabin, were extremely tiny, more like cramped; I mean cramped! There wasn't enough drawer space to accommodate my fiance' and nothing for my clothes but some shelves behind the entry door. The hanger closest worked, barely.....Although the cabin's bathroom was adequate with respect to the sink and shower, the attached, but separate, toilet space was tight, and both of us are of average height and weight. I have no idea how anyone carrying "some extra baggage" would be able to use it....Now, as to the food, be it in the buffet or the dining room, lacked any culinary appeal or chef's touch. Consider this: you're in Alaska, the salmon, halibut, king crab "capital" of the US and they served salmon as an entree once for dinner, once. No Lox, no Halibut, No Crab, and N Salmon, only unimaginative beef, pork and chicken dishes. Even the desserts were unexciting...As to the drinks? We each purchased the Premium Beverage Package which was far from it. If you didn't specifically ask the bartender for a certain high end brand of alcohol, they ignored the symbol "PBP" in bold, on your shipboard cabin card, and instead poured swill from the well. What a rip!.......The entertainment eg. the show Velvet, on our first night, was downright awful! Never cared to see anything else....So, as I said, if not for the sites, excursions, this would have been a complete waste of money!
