We chose this trip because it was at the right time for vacation. We were very excited to go because 2 of the ports we love. Well, first problem was we received an email telling us that we would have a shortened visit at San Juan because of a problem with the propulsion system on the ship. The next problem was that there was a medical emergency (of which they had no control) and the decision was made to turn the ship around and go BACK to Puerto Rico. We were about 4 hours away from there and we made it back in around 2 hours! The repercussions from this was, we could not stop at our final port! We then spent the last 2 1/2 days on the ship! This, instead of 3 full ports of call, we experienced maybe, 1 1/2 ports! What a disappointment! When we called to complain, being Emerald members and loyal to Royal, we got NO SATISFACTION! They told us that the company made the decision to do nothing for any of the passengers! We did not even receive an explanation of what happened or an apology for missing so much time at our ports of call! To be honest, I am now looking for another line to start using, just not Carnival, too many people power drinking! It hurts me to say that we are looking for a new line, because we have NEVER had any problems that they did not try to resolve. Very sad! As far as the on board entertainment, it was wonderful! The food was excellent and the service was spectacular! In that case, it was a typical Royal cruise.
Wonderful!
We docked at 7 am and could go ashore around 7:30, but had to be back on at 12:30 pm!
