The Edge is simply beautiful! We were in SkySuite 10104. The Sky Suites was well appointed: Ceiling to floor windows with a small patio with 2 chairs and a small table; the bed was very comfortable with loads of extra pillows--it faced the patio; there was plenty of drawers (including 3 in the bathroom under the sink), a large closet with hangers and a wardrobe area with a safe, and ceiling to floor drawers; there was a small but usable desk with a charging "box" for iphones and plugins; there was a small frig that was filled each day by our Butler Dino with water, soda and whatever else we requested; the main room also had a chaise-style lounger and a small table (unfortunately, the table is low and not easy to eat on, but it was fine. The table on the patio is too small to take a dining tray at all; it is really only good for cocktails. The draperies (blackout) are controlled by a wall panel. Very nice, the panel also controls the temp. and lights in the room.
The bathroom is the best we have ever experienced! It has a full bathtub with a very powerful adjustable shower fixture. This has a glass door and shower curtain for privacy. The toilet in located behind a frosted glass door. The vanity area has been moved here too: a hairdryer, vanity mirror and small stool are also provided. The towels were top quality and we had 4 per stateroom. In addition, the robes and slippers were high quality. Our cabin steward was very attentive and friendly--our room was always clean. A neat feature: the bathroom mirror over the sink slides open into the room, letting in more light and view to the patio.
The ship is filled with art--some modern, some traditional but all interesting. The room had a "book" highlighting some of the best, its name, artist and where to see it. There is even an area of the hull left "open" so you can get a glimpse of the hull and "skeleton" of the ship. The ship is magnificent and not like any other we have sailed.

Although the port is about 1 hour from the Rome airport, transportation options are abundant.
Wish Celebrity offered excursions with smaller groups--15 max. So much time is wasted waiting on people who are late.
Max. 8 people; very good driver/guide with thorough narrative in English
Fabulous Food and History Tour
