When booking this trip of course we had high expectations of the ship as it is so new but we were looking forward to visiting some exciting destinations too. |It turned out the ship did not let us down but some of the destinations were a disappointment.

Embarkation was smooth and effortless. We loved our stateroom - more roomy than we imagined in particular the bathroom, balcony and bed. We were thoroughly impressed with all the facilities and public rooms in particular the Lawn Club we were to spend hours there chilling out. The Martini bar was particularly entertaining and buzzing most night but we also enjoyed the Ensemble Lounge with its live music and calm atmosphere. The Theatre grabbed our attention a few evenings - the dance group/acrobats were particularly impressive and the Ventriloquist. As ever with Celebrity, the food was exquisite not just in the Speciality Restaurant, Murano's, but also in the Silhouette restaurant (Filet Mignon - delicious), not to mention the vast choice of first class food in the Ocean View Cafe. The spa cafe offered a nice healthy choice option in calming surroundings too. Overall the decor, the entertainment, the facilities in general, the service were of extremely high standard. I particularly liked the daily address from the Captain of status and weather conditions.

If we had any complaints they were firstly that there was a slight unpleasant toilet related smell occasionally in the corridors and in the bathroom. I can only describe this as the smell of a toilet that has not had disinfectant used on it. This was never for long but should be addressed definitely. Secondly, when anchoring at the Cayman Islands it took a very long time to tender everyone on shore, some people did not make it ashore until mid day nearly. Lastly, though this was no fault of Celebrity, the immigration when disembarking at Ft Lauderdale took hours (most of it in queue). Not a good end to the trip.

Cabin Review

Cabin Con

Location fine, no noise from corridor as at front of ship but could hear neighbour footsteps either side and above. Cabin more spaceous than we have had before in bathroom especially shower, impressed with more storage space in bathroom too. Balcony bigger which is also welcome. Remember when looking out from balcony can be seen from Bridge!
