We booked this cruise just two weeks before and have never cruised before, so we didn't know what we were in for. It was definitely a pleasant surprise and a great voyage. The ports of call are typical for an alaska cruise. Tip: don't book with the ship, go in town and shop around for tours. Embarkation was seamless, we were worried that the only thing open was the buffet and that it would be a madhouse. It wasn't. The buffet was also much better than we ever imagined, we were expecting nothing except fried junk food in the buffet, instead, we were greeted with a variety of food and only a few fried ones. Although our British captain didn't go all the way into the hubbard glacier, Captain Draper really mean it when he says that our safety is his top priority, unlike an Italian captain that would've taken that risk. DW was a little concerned about seasickness, but the ship only rocked gently. A downside of princess is the amount of activities on the ship, although there is a teen club, there wasn't much else. If you have younger teens, think about NCL. Be warned, once you have sailed with princess, you'll be so spoiled that you won't want to go back to carnival ever again.

Definitely would recommend for younger couples or family with mature teens

Cabin BA A701
Our stateroom was at the very stern of the ship, we were worried about pitching and rolling, but there wasn't any. The door on the deck plan is a fire door and is normally open, so don't worry about that. If you have the bunk open, the headroom can be quite low so be careful.
