Elite member took our 6th cruise with celebrity to the Western Caribbean. Parked our car at “park-n-fly”, simple and easy. Shuttle took us to the new renovated terminal 25 at PEV. Was advised by e- mail from Celebrity day before of a 3:30 embark from the port. Embarkation was a breeze.with our printed bar code and lines moved quickly thru the process. My wife and I found ourselves on ship within 30 minutes from curbside to ship. We’ve always gone with Aqua Class and dining at Blu but we elected to this time to go with a veranda, cabin 9191. We had to search and locate our stateroom attendant after the muster drill, which we found to be mute throughout the cruise. We had discovered the next day he had failed to provide informative ship information informing us that future cruises was offering for two days only 3 perks on all future bookings for 48 hours only while on the ship. We found him to be very non informative and request shower soap which was on empty upon our time to shower. The ports of call were fine with us since we been to all of them before and prefer to walk around the shops at port then returning to have the ship to ourselves. We went to Ocean View Cafe for breakfast and lunch buffet. Nothing to exciting in terms of variety of dishes. One individual stood out and that provided excellent service was Jesus food service manager. He was very genuine and attended to my wife’s requests and questions due to serious gluten allergies. As an alternative for breakfast at the ocean view, we went to Tuscan Grill. Most people are not aware of the Tuscan grill is available for daily breakfast. From the third night forward we noticed at 3:30 thru 6:00 loud metal noises radiating above our cabin from the bathroom to above our bed. Guest relations showed concern but could not locate the source of the noise and we had to request ear plugs which only only muffled the noises. They gave us a certificate of $300 to be applied to the next cruise. They should have offered to move our stateroom. Keeping in mind when booking cruises I am always aware of what lies above our cabin. Daniel Fong at guest relations was very attentive to our concerns and questions pertaining to our disruptive sleep in early mornings. The ships captain Kate was definitely a plus for this cruise line and appeared to approachable and genuine. Enjoyed her morning announcements! The cruise was fine other than getting an uncomfortable quality of sleep. Debarked was as quick and efficient as embark.
