Tons of fun on the NCL Getaway June 7th, 2019 cruise. The ship just got off from a 1-month dry dock and you could tell all the wall furnishings, artwork, carpet, paint, and other details were attended too.
Embarkation: Fast and painless Took about 35 min or so.
Food: Recommend eating at Savor/Taste whenever you have the chance. These two dining rooms are 2 of the 3 main dining halls apart from the buffet. They have their own kitchen and you can taste the difference. First night line was long-about 45-minute wait but only 15-20 each night thereafter. They did allow reservations on the last night and thank goodness we did that. People were waiting for an hour or so I hear. Tropicana allows reservations but they go really fast. Book for your entire cruise if you don't want to wait. The food and service were lacking compared to Savor/Taste. Tropicana has nightly entertainment which can be fun.
One of the best I've had. The way the room is organized is very smart and made for a lot of room. Did not feel squished with 2 adults, 2 children and 6 items of luggage. Was able to unpack all of it and hide the luggage under the bed. 2 sinks with ample space. Clothesline in the tub so you can wash clothes in your sink.
I was worried about the 5th floor-but the 6th floor had all the fun stuff. Savor/Taste, the atrium bar, and entertainment. I didn't overhear anything from my stateroom, but I was able to get there faster and grab a place to sit! The 4th is where you disembark so I was able to get off quickly too.
