Embarkation and disembarkation was fine. My husband has special assistance and everything was stress free and easy. However, the cruise was ok. The first night we decided to eat in the anytime dining restaurant and we were not at all impressed. The waiter gave us the impression that we shouldn't have been there and the food was mediocre. In fact my husband left his and we went up to the buffet area of the ship where we did get something to eat. We found the food in the buffet okay and the waiters were very pleasant and helpful. We did go back to eat in the anytime dining restaurant towards the end of the cruise and the service and the food was totally different. If we had had the same service on the first night we might have gone there every night.
My husband smokes and the on board smoking area on the upper deck was not kept clean and tidy and although he complained to an officer twice nothing was done about it.
We didn't see any of the shows in the theatre but we did enjoy Tommy McPhee in the Crooners bar. out of the 7 nights we were on board we listened to him on 5.
There was no tea and coffee facilities in the cabin but it was kept clean and tidy by our steward. The shower in the cabin was ok but if I had to wash my hair my hand kept hitting the shower head. I don't know how 6 foot plus people got on.
The scenery was breath taking.
Embarkation was very easy and stress free.
Visit the Red Dog Saloon. Amazing place
Living history and tried the local brew.
eagles fling around the ships that were docked
Didn't get off the ship as only arrived at 7pm and sunset was at 8.30. Shuttle bus was $15 per person.
