My partner and I decided on Princess after seeing the recent tv series, and running out of destinations with our favourite Norwegian Cruise Lines and Royal Caribbean. On the surface they seemed on par, in reality they are lacking in just about every department.

If its your 1st Cruise, you will probably think it is fine, but for a seasoned Cruiser with "better" cruise lines this will leave you frustrated and disappointed.

1. The food was simply not good enough compared to NCL & RC. Very small portions in the Open Dining Restaurants, badly presented, not hot enough in stark contrast to NCL.

Cabin Review

Interior

Cabin IF

Nice cabin but air con ineffective. Terrible nights sleep because of this. Maid was great as was the bed but made little diffence when trying to sleep in an oven

Port Reviews

Southampton

By the time we had gone through the endless que to register and get onboard we were too tired. Why oh why do you not have enough staff to cope with the people you are obviously expecting. My 80 year old mother was in some distress by the time we finally got onboard. You simply failed miserably......... NB. Royal Caribbean 1km up the road, absolutely painless, quick and efficient

Bilbao

Took the shuttle in to Bilbao, same as above unless you visit the Museum which we didn't. Not really interested in the subject matter

Bordeaux

2 hour each way journey and remortgage the house to be able to afford their price for a bus ride, you have got to be kidding.

Instead we took the free shuttle service to the local town which was very pleasant

St. Peter Port (Guernsey)

Very nice seaside town but with 3 cruise ships in the port, very busy

La Coruna

Walked around an uninspiring town, tours all too expensive
