This was my first cruise in 30 years so I qualify as a newbie. My experience is colored by my conclusion huge ships are not my style. That said - the good and bad. Good - entertainment was very good. Enjoyed all the shows. Ship is pretty and public areas were clean and glitzy. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Neutral - food was good but I never had a meal where I said WOW. Our room was OK but could use an update. Table was worn, mattress saggy, pillows not fluffy. Bathroom was small but storage there was good and workable. Good closet space.

Negative - disappointed in Princess excursions - so so and overpriced. We were much more pleased with the excursions we did through independent tour company Alla. Princess will say things to scare you away from other tour companies but ours with Alla were much superior to Princess and better price too. As a newbie cruiser who thought the original price of the cruise sounded good, I was amazed how the add ons added up and how expensive excursions were. We probably won’t do another big ship cruise. Maybe Viking 900 person cruise ships or another river cruise.
