First time to Alaska and this was the way to do it. With the combination of sea and land we were able to maximize our trip of a life time. A MUST is a balcony cabin as you can see whales and the glaciers, you do not have to run to a side on deck the ship rotates so you have a direct view of the glacier. Balcony has two (2) chairs and a table.
We used the Princess planner for our excursions and air reservations. This is a good practice to protect you if your ship may leave and going through Princess it puts the responsibility on Princess to get you to the ship.
We had a handicap cabin with a rented scooter (Scootaround) and had plenty of room to move round and enjoy ourself. TV had morning show that looped so you could see the activities on the ship and showed the excursions in port. Also, in the evening they read a bedtime story with the ships mascot Captain Stanley. Was even good for the big kids in us.
Handicap, with plenty of room. Fixed shower seat with adjustable shower head plenty of hot water. Great view through the sliding glass door and plenty of room on the balcony
