This was a wonderful cruise with a great itinerary. Our favorite ports were Santorini Greece and Dubrovnik Croatia. Our excursion in Dubrovnik (Game of Thrones Tour) was unreal! We thoroughly enjoyed the food, service, and entertainment on the ship. Our room was amazing and our steward, Dino, was a delight. We would absolutely consider cruising on the Jade again.
This cruise was taken on the week of our 20 year Wedding Anniversary. It did not disappoint. The ship was clean and the staff very friendly. The spa was amazing, if not a bit overpriced. But I really enjoyed both of my spa experiences.
Our favorite restaurant was Le Bistro, although Cagney's and La Cucina were great too. The main dining room was great and truthfully we could have eaten all of our meals there. The breakfast buffet was really good and we had lunch at O'Sheehan's a few times and enjoyed it. We loved the casual dining atmosphere on the ship.
We had a mid-ship balcony room and it was fabulous! I am not sure that I could cruise any other way now. We loved our room steward. He took very good care of us. We didn't spend a lot of time in our room, but the time we spent there was spent in comfort. Everything was in good working order and very clean.
Santorini was gorgeous! We would love to return and stay a few days. We took the cable car up the mountain from the port and walked form Fira town to the mid point of Imerovigli village (at the highest point of the caldera cliffs). The views were stunning. Next time we will make it over to Oia village, which I hear is breathtaking.
We were in Mykonos on the day of our 20th Anniversary. We enjoyed the windmills, beaches, and the authentic Greek cuisine. This island was nice, but we much preferred Santorini.
This port city was charming, but it was definitely our least favorite stop. We docked here on a Saturday and everything was closed. It was very quiet and sleepy. I am sure that if we had taken an excursion it would have been different. We were just not impressed.
Venice is beautiful and very rich in its history. It was a bit crazy in St. Mark's Square. I felt like we were at Disney World with all the people and chaos. Our favorite part of Venice was just walking through the canal streets and over the bridges to the quieter places. We enjoyed the Gondola ride too. We did stay one extra night in Venice at the Hilton Molino Stuckey. It was a very nice hotel.
