Sail Date: Apr 2019

We chose CMV for the itinerary that started in Singapore and ended in London 46 days later. The ship was a total delight - small but with many stylish lounges, a walk-around promenade deck, two sunny pools, and three free restaurant choices in addition to the buffet.

Our interior cabin 4117 was spacious, quiet, and very steady during windy portions of the trip.

Since George and I enjoyed every day on board and would do this cruise again, suffice it to say we really liked the food, entertainments, spa services, reading lounges, cabin attendants, cruise directors, casino folks, craft classes, passenger choir, afternoon tea, the informative lectures, and so many other aspects of this cruise.

Cabin Review

Cabin Interior

Spacious, in the center of the ship, very steady in strong winds, quiet, outstanding cabin attendants (Olexsandra and Bernard), easy access to both forward amenities (spa, gym,) and aft amenities (restaurants and outdoor deck). It had a walk-in shower rather than a tub (our preference). We set the tv on the “Report from the bridge” during the night to keep track of the ship’s location and the weather outside. Very nice.

Port Reviews

Concierage floor at Mercure Grand - what is not to like?

Walked around charming Georgetown followed by high tea on very high floor with a view of the bay.

Took the excursion bus to Phuket - walked around and did laundry in a launderette, had ice cream.

Due to terrorist bombing we skipped this port

Mumbai (Bombay)

Took a private tour with lunch at the Turf Club. Amazing city.

Jerusalem (Ashdod)

Visited with friends, saw the Weizmann Center, nice lunch at Weizmann.

Nice stop for dinner facing the Aegean Sea

Bus tour of island was educational. Tour of ancient archeological site was ok. Long wait for the funicular down to the ship with no time to shop or have a cool drink with the view.

Rome (Civitavecchia)

Walked Las Ramblas then tapas lunch.

Ducked into Hyatt Hotel to avoid aggressive sales pitches on the street. Hotel got us a white taxi out to Corniche Mall - beautiful area but no food due to Ramadan.

Malta (Valletta)

Wonderful town for walking and lunch

Kochi (Cochin)

Boat tour, Chinese fishing!nets, bus to Kerala Cultural Center for historical play with fancy costumes and costume museum. Unique and educational.
