I choose this cruise for three generations,: a 14 year old boy, parents and us, the grandparents. The 14 year old is a world traveler and all of us enjoy good food. I believed Celebrity had great dining and I was not disappointed. We marveled how it could produce french onion and all the soups hot to the table. The last night grand finale souffle for dessert was perfect! i would have liked more included dining areas. There are many things for the higher class travelers - dining and activities. We were surprised that we became attached to our waiter. He was very pleasant and enhanced our sailing. Rancio was not available the last night but he came to our table to wish us a safe journey home. It was small personal things like that which made us smile though out our cruise. Having been on other cruise lines, we were disappointed in the activities and entertainment. Perhaps just not to our taste. As a family group, it was not important because we talked, played cards and read books to fill the time.. There were few kids on board so not much excitement in the teens club. Our teen spent some time there. We loved that 5 Asian boys and our boy from AZ could enjoy time with games. The excursions and ports were as expected. (We had been to Alaska before.) The kids took a private 6 passenger whale watch tour in Hoodah that was fantastic. We took the shuttle and saw two bear cubs along the shore. Our cabin 6155 was a "partial obstructed' with only a pulley to lock the view. Our kids in 6167 could see the top of a life boat but not an issue. Our balcony was larger because it was on the leading edge of the hump. I looked for a reasonable, food highlight cruise (Celebrity in early June), easy access (flight to Vancouver and hotel shuttle for the first night) Aerocar Services picked us up to transport to the ship. Embarkation was organized and swift. Success!!!!
This cabin is close to the elevator/stairs. A cabin closer to midship might cut down on some of the walking. It was 1/3 mile from cabin to buffett - closer to the dining room.
