This is my husband and I's 7th cruise together, my 8th. We LOVE cruises and this one was probably our favorite. It was the biggest ship we have ever been on (even though they are all set up the same). I was really nervous about lines/cleanliness etc based on reviews I read before I left, but this was by far a great vacation and fantastic ship. We flew into Fort lauderdale the day before and stayed at the La Quinta inn and suites. They have a free shuttle that picks you up from the airport and takes you to the hotel. Expedia, however, lost our hotel booking and after an hour of the front lady going back and forth with Expedia, it was resolved. The hotel upgraded us to a suite for the mix up.
We took an Uber from the hotel to the shuttle the next morning.
Getting on the ship:
Very Clean.
Loved being on deck 9 because it was only 1 deck up to the pools, fun and food.
HOWEVER!!!!!! This room is positioned under the outside bar/pizza place on deck 10. This was the loudest room we have EVER been in. People were constantly moving chairs around which was SOOOOO loud in our room. Then once the people were gone, the staff would move the chairs to clean. It was a never ending sound of chairs being dragged across the floor which continually woke us up.
My husband wishes we were more in the middle of this ship, as when you got off the ship it was on deck 0 on the opposite side. Also, dinner was on deck 3, opposite side so this made for extremely long walks everywhere.
Room was clean, air condition worked well.
A new feature is that you are supposed to leave your room card in the light slot to keep the lights on. You can actually leave any card in there. We used our room stewards "business card" that he gave us the first day.
Make sure you book an excursion here. There is nothing to do, other than the standard port shops.
Best thing we have ever done: Bring your own inflatable rafts. I purchased $5 rafts at $5 below and packed them for the cruise. Great for just floating in the beautiful water!
