We chose this cruise because of the itinerary and the fact that because the Constellation is a smaller ship we could begin our cruise from Venice. Boarding was easy and within 30 minutes of arriving at the terminal we were on board. Throughout the cruise we found the staff to be among the most service oriented and friendliest of any of our 34 cruises. The main dining room food was excellent, although it’s obvious they have pared down the menu choices somewhat. We also ate in Sushi on 5 and Qsine and found the food and service in both to be outstanding. We took 2 ship excursions and they were excellent - one in Rhodes and one in Olympia. Tendering was handled very efficiently in Santorini - but the situation with the long wait for the on-shore gondola is ridiculous - not Celebrity’s fault though. At the rest of the ports we took private shore excursions. Entertainment on board was excellent. We enjoyed each of the production shows and the 2 guest musicians; the magician was so-so. We especially enjoyed the “extra” show of Broadway show tunes that the production cast put on on our last sea day. We always found a place to sit and relax. The trivia sessions were pure fun - no fierce competition - just a good time. Bar service was prompt and the drinks were well prepared. Our ocean view stateroom on Deck 2 was room, and our cabin attendant kept it in spotless condition. If there is one thing we would want to change it would be to add another sea day in the middle of the cruise - the pace was pretty grueling if you took advantage of truly seeing each of the ports - and we did. The ship is a little worn, but the crew works hard to keep everything running well. We like the size and layout of the ship - we never felt crowded and getting around was very easy.

Cabin Review

Ocean View 4

Cabin 04

We were on deck 2 in an ocean view - don’t know if I have the category right. The cabin was room and well laid out with lots of storage. It was a little difficult to get the big suitcases under the bed, but eventually I got them stowed. Room came with a couch and a nice-sized window. We loved the location on Deck 2 because all ports of call used Deck 1 for the gangway. So, we had no waiting in line for an elevator - walked up one flight and were in our cabin.
