This is my 5th Carnival Cruise out of New Orleans and the first time on The Glory. Embarkation was smooth. Make sure you have your paperwork out and ready. This was my first time to have cash only on my sign and sail card. I used Gift Cards and I was amazed over how easy it was. Before boarding, you go to a desk and they put it on your S&S card for you. We had Faster to the Fun so we arrived at the port at 10:00 a.m. and was on the ship and in our room by 11:00 a.m. Our cabin was 1111. The room Steward Adrian was the best Steward we have ever had. He kept ice in our bucket and the cabin clean. We kept the curtains pulled during the day, so the cabin stayed very cool. The balcony does not have a cover over the top and the Serenity Deck can look down on you. Other than this, it's an excellent cabin and location. It is just steps from the lido and it is very quiet. We also had the CHEERS package and found that the drinks seemed to be watered down, except for at the Alchemy Bar. We had anytime dining and discovered that by arriving at 5:45, there was not a wait for a table. The Seafood shack was excellent and worth the up-charge. On Embarkation day, I highly suggest that you eat at the BBQ place. There wasn't anyone there but us. The shows were very good and entertaining. The Comedy Club was fun, but crowded so get there early. The ship itself was easy to navigate around and there was never much of a wait at the elevators or bars like other ships we have been on. We were there during the school year so there were very few kids on board, which left the water slide to us. It was so much fun and I highly recommend it for all ages. (We are in our 50's) We will certainly sail on The Glory again.

Premium Balcony

Cabin 9B

1111 is an excellent cabin with an excellent Steward named Adrian. The cabin temperature is very cool. The Balcony does not have a cover over it and you do not get spa perks. Serenity Deck can look down and see you if you are standing at the railing and they are too. Its a great location, steps from Lido and the Serenity Bar is up one flight of stairs.
