The Joy is a beautiful ship....every cruise line should take note and copy deck 15 and the front observation area. What an incredible way to experience Alaska while relaxing in wonderful seats with a bar, Starbucks, and a mini buffet available. The rooms were nice, I love the color palette of blue's and creams....and love the sliding door in the balcony room. The slider made for no slamming door noise from the neighbors and we were able to keep it open every night for fresh air and falling asleep to the sounds of the ocean.

The big let downs were: no candy shop for kids....duty free was small...and only one other place to buy stuff was so small it didn't have a lot of variety. The layout of the pool deck was weird, a lot of empty space for nothing.

Balcony Stateroom

Cabins were nice, love the blue color palette. Bathrooms elegant and the best part was the sliding glass door on the balcony. I've been on a lot of cruises where the noise of doors slamming shut all the time was annoying ....this way it was quiet and we were able to keep the slider open the entire cruise for fresh air and to fall asleep to the sound of the ocean.
