It was my 50th birthday and I heard so many wonderful things about these huge Oasis class of ships! I researched obsessively about what room to choose and ultimately went with Room 12599, on the starboard side of the ship overlooking Central Park.
It was lovely! I have a fear of heights and don’t like balconies overlooking the water. But the balcony overlooking the park was cozy and just perfect.
Central Park itself is on Level 8. The rooms overlooking the park on Level 9 do *not* have balconies. Levels 10, 11, 12, and 13 have balconies overlooking the park. After reading other reviews, I didn’t want to be on Level 13 and risk hearing the pool noise overhead. Level 12 was perfect because you could hear live guitar music at night but it wasn’t too loud.
Ship was magnificent as was entertainment. Service so so friendly. We liked the buffet better than the formal dining rooms (not the uncharged specialty restaurants).
Dinner at Wonderland was unforgettable.
Trip of a lifetime!
Great, funny driver to the plantation was the best part! All these buses going to the same place for connections. Disorganized, not enough shade. Was nice enough once we got to the plantation and took the tour. Definitely didn't live up to the luxury and expectations of the boat.View All 45 Plantation Tour Reviews
WAAAYYYY to overcrowded with people selling junk. Went to Chicin-Itza. It's so sad to see that the Mexican government has allowed this to happen. Was recently in Belize where the ruins were gorgeous, very few people, very pristine. Didn't appreciate it until I saw the massive throngs of people at Chichin-Itza. Also overrun by tourist groups. Hot, little shade, Mom got seasick on small boat going from Cozumel to Playa del Carmen pick-up point. Lunch on the bus was gross.View All 425 Mayan Ruins Reviews
